The study focuses on ‘start-ups’ and ‘innovative entrepre–neurship’. Innovative start-ups are distinct from general self-employment, which falls outside the scope of the study. Although the focus of the study is start-ups and in-novative entrepreneurs, it explores all mi-gratory channels (e.g. residence permits and visas) through which third-country national start-up founders and innovative entrepreneurs can be admitted.
